Biography
Gretchen Bleiler is an Aspen hometown hero, a member of the 2006 US Olympic Team, a covergirl and a two-time WX SuperPipe champion ('03, '05). But above all, Gretchen is talented and determined. After an amazing breakout year in '03, Gretchen suffered a huge blow when she tore her right ACL at the beginning of the '04 season. After a year of rehab she came back strong in '05 reclaiming WX gold and following that up with a solid string of podiums (including the U.S. Open). In 2002 she narrowly missed a spot on the Olympic team, but she will get there in 2006. She comes into the '06 season ready to unleash her new trick, the Michalchuk. local
